School Holiday activities for first term break 2020 look super exciting. If your kids are easily bored, or need something adventurous to be part of, this list will help you out.
School Holiday Swimming
Swimming is undoubtedly the perfect school holiday activity. The Southern Highlands has no shortage of great fully serviced swimming pools. Indeed, Aquabliss Mittagong Frensham Swim School has amazing lessons to help grow your child’s skills in the water. Other fabulous swimming lessons can be found at Moss Vale Aquatic Centre and Vitarose Swimming at the Berida Hotel indoor swimming pool.
Camp Wombaroo Holiday Day Camp
The Outdoor Education Group hosts this fun school holiday camp. It’s specifically suited to students from eight to 13 years of age. Kids can experience the outdoors, challenge themselves and meet new friends. They’ll enjoy fun adventures like bushwalking, canoeing and orienteering.
Moreover, each day has a different theme and a variety of activities included. The aim is to help the children reach their personal best, by challenging themselves at their own pace. Industry leaders who are the most experienced outdoor education and risk management team in Australia run the camps.
For the upcoming school holidays, the day program camps will be held for from Tuesday April 21 to Friday April 24, and are located just fifteen minutes from Mittagong.
Drop off is between 8 and 9 a.m. and pick up is between 5pm and 6 p.m. Morning and afternoon tea, as well as a hot lunch, are included. For more information call 02 4869 6740.
Play Make Believe
Play Make Believe delivers school holiday fun in the form of combined drama and art class for kids aged three to five years. There’s also primary art classes for children aged five to 11 years. Two local mums who have combined skills in teaching, drama, art and design facilitate the workshops.
There is one workshop coming up for the Easter 2020 school holidays. It’s a whole day Art and Drama workshop on April 17, perfect for children aged five to 10 years. School Holiday Tennis Lessons with Highlands Tennis

Moss Vale Gymnastics
Moss Vale Gymnastics runs School Holiday Workshops for kids aged five to teenage years. The sessions are held at Moss Vale Showground and include strength flexibility, endurance, confidence, fitness and indeed, fun. Call 0412 635 680 for more information.
Horse Riding Lessons
Lastly, don’t forget horse riding!
Equestrian Connection at Ashton Park Moss Vale offers individual or group riding lessons, as well as horse handling and grooming lessons and trail and pony rides. You can also combine a School Holidays Activities Workshop with riding and other activities offered by Ashton Park. There’s mosaic making and arts and craft activities.
