Sheepwash to the Gib, by Di Dixon

I’m a massive art lover and I have always been creative myself, so it is with huge excitement that I can announce my involvement in MY HIGHLAND HOME 2018 Inaugural Art Prize, sponsored by belle property Bowral and offered by one of my favourite galleries, The BDAS Bowral Art Gallery.

The theme for this acquisitive art prize is interpretive and may feature whatever My Highland Home means to the participating artist; valleys, mountains, sheds, cattle, cafes, people, animals or more.

All entrants’ inspiration must come from within the area of the Southern Highlands. Works may be on canvas, paper or printmaking media, and can be produced using any medium, excluding photographic print. Works are invited in sizes no smaller than 60cm x 60cm, and no larger than 1.22m wide x 1.8m high.

Judging for this prestigious prize will be by myself and accomplished Southern Highlands artist, Helen Gauchat.

  • First Prize $3,000 (acquisitive*);
  • Second Prize $1,500; and
  • People’s Choice $500.
